Nobody in Ohio is Eating Your Cat.

Nobody in Ohio is Eating Your Cat.
This picture wasn't even taken in Springfield, it's Columbus.

The town of Springfield, Ohio has had an influx of Haitian immigrants, which has kicked off a truly absurd amount of panic. A few weeks ago, neo-Nazi boy band Blood Tribe marched in Springfield Ohio. The next week, their preppy counterparts Patriot Front did the same. That same week, Drake Berentz, aka "Nathaniel Higgers," second in command of Blood Tribe, spoke at a city council meeting and vaguely threatened the members. Now, panicked stories about people eating pets and wild geese are being circulated by the usual outrage merchants - Libs of TikTok, Jack Posobiec, Charlie Kirk - but now, it's being amplified by Vice Presidential Candidate, JD Vance.

We all know why the out and proud Nazis showed up, but why the very sudden and focused pivot from people that should have better, and more varied things to talk about?

Well, another thing happened last week - the Department of Justice filed charges of foreign interference against the founders of right wing rag, Tenet Media (who also happened to be employees of Russia Today), AND they also charged a group of domains under the foreign influence campaign, Doppleganger. Most people are focused on the Tenet part of the story, but it is worth noting that the charges mention 600 other influencers based in the US.

WHO COULD THAT BE? I have my own wishlist percolating, but I feel like pretty much everybody could make some pretty informed guesses. (cough tuckercarlson).

But there is also so. much. more. going on in general this month.
