Last week, the remaining four defendants in the Mt. Juliet abortion clinic blockade trial were found guilty.
The dominant media narrative around this conviction is focusing on how Christians were arrested for "simply praying," and the eldest blockader, 87 year old Eva Edl, who often is referred to as a WWII concentration camp survivor. What is usually left out is that her family was in a Communist camp for war criminals because her father was a Nazi.
Don’t get me wrong, all prisons are bad, and imprisoning children is especially terrible. But misrepresenting yourself as a Holocaust survivor when your family were actual uniformed SS, is not the most honest representation of the situation.
Anyways, Paul Vaughn's Thomas More lawyers are parading him all over right wing media, so I'm sure we haven't heard the last of any of this.
